First day of Kindergarten
9/3/19
It was nice starting the week on a Tuesday, I think I would be okay if we just got rid of Mondays. Though Tuesday would quickly become the new Monday…
First day of Kindergarten was as usual full of adventure. This group reminds me of when I started teaching k4, they all seem very new to school, but very eager to learn and please. I am looking forward to meeting the rest of my students over the next three days. Due to the weather conditions this morning and it being the first day I drove my car. Today was also my first day nannying directly after school so it was nice to have my car to allow me a little leeway. Tomorrow will be my first day riding my bicycle with students and nannying. The time crunch worries me and having a bicycle issue, but I just keep telling myself it’s all going to work out. The past few times I have rode, there has been glass everywhere. Not only on the street, but the sidewalks too. I must ride one sidewalk in a construction zone, and I was shocked by the amount of glass all over it. I am not sure if it is the lousy upkeep of the streets that Milwaukee does in the NW region. Or the people I have continuously seen throw bags of trash out of their car windows as they are driving, pulled over, or at the exit of a freeway. On a few occasions I have stopped and picked it up in front of them. I don’t understand how people can treat our neighborhoods so poorly and then have the nerve to complain about its condition. All the extra glass lately makes me Feel extra thankful for my bike tires. I believe they are armadillo brand; they were gifted to me. Crossing my fingers and saying a prayer it all gels with the timing tomorrow! Peace and good wishes
Love,
April
